mikawaya has THE BEST mochi ice cream ever!! whenever i visit little tokyo, i make sure to drop in on the shop and grab two of them. mango and the newly acquired addictive chocolate flavor thanks to the availability of mikawaya mochi ice cream at trader joe's.
there really is an art to eating them though. since there's powder on the mochi, eating one results in white powder on your clothes. i tend to lean out when i eat so i can avoid that issue. don't forget to check your face too. the last time my friend ate it, she got powder on her nose.
the last bite is the best....brain freeze. powder on your face and clothes and writhing on the floor from ecstasy. looks like an overdose to me....
